Welcome!

Almost all of our 50+ sports will be held in Rotorua, and we are sure you will find something you like. 

Here you will find all you need to know about all the sports we have of offer; from the basics like dates, times, venues through to what happens if there is a draw or a penalty shootout, you need to recruit an injury replacement, draws, results and hopefully all your other questions.

Individual sports pages will have all the relevant information for their sport.

We will continually update as we get more information, so please do check back periodically.

Find My Team

 Are you an individual who would like to participate in a team sport at the games but need to find a team?

Or

Are you a Team Manager or Captain who is short of a few players and would like to make sure you have enough team members to compete at the games?

 If the answer to either of the above questions is YES then please consider the following steps:

1. If your Emergency Service has a Sports Association contact them to see if they can assist with contact details of a sport representative for the sporting code you are interest in.

2. Put out an email to your local area, Region or Nationally to see if anyone is interested in making up a team for your sport or interested in joining your team.

3. If your Emergency Services Organisation has an Intranet or Bulletin Board or Internal Communications Network think about posting an article looking for other people interested in joining a team.

4. Make contact with other Emergency Services Organisations in your local or regional areas to see if they have a team you could join or want to make up a team or have anyone interested in joining your team (Don’t forget teams can be made up of a mixture of Emergency Services Organisations).

5. If you have no luck with the above, then send an email to findmyteam@apes2023.co.nz with your contact details and the sporting code you are interested in and whether you are an individual looking for a team or a team looking for some extra players.

We will try our best to see if we can match you to a team or get some extra players for your team.

Please note Sports and Fixtures may be subject to change based on the number of entries. The Games Team will keep you updated & final fixtures will be listed when registration closes.
